About Us
Western North Carolina Disc Golf Association is an all volunteer run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering, promoting, and improving the support and community of disc golf in the Western North Carolina area.
We are primarily based in Asheville, North Carolina (Buncombe County) although we reach beyond county lines to Henderson, Haywood, Brevard counties and beyond in our mission.
We are an official PDGA Club.
What is Disc Golf?
Disc Golf is played much like golf but instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc. The sport was formalized in the 1970s and provides great upper and lower body conditioning, aerobeic exercise, and mental stimulation. You can read more one the PDGA website.

Join over 300 active members! Our season runs from September to August each year. We offer Open, Masters, and Ladies tags. See Bag Tag Rules to learn more about what playing for tags means.
Members are invited to compete in the Club Championships (match play format) and enjoy the annual Club Party. Both events are held in August.
WNCDGA is an official PDGA affiliate club therefore association members get a $5 discount on their new and renewing PDGA membership. Contact the WNCDGA Board of Directors for the discount code.
